Church Langley councillor on the case of the overgrown footpaths

A LOT of the work of a local councillor is unsung. Most of us don’t really care what they may think about the big issues, we just want those grass roots issues dealt with.
One of the most pro-active councillors in Harlow is Church Langley’s Simon Carter (Cons).
Only the other day, our editor came back from a jog and bemoaned the state of a footpath that runs from Potter Street into Kiln Lane.
As he said that, cllr Carter was on Facebook pointing out other parts of the ward that were unkempt and overgrown.
To be fair there was council operatives out and about but there is also a debate about what is and isn’t council land.
All that can be said is that cllr Carter is on the case an for that we give thanks.
