POLICE investigating the theft of an elderly woman’s purse want to identify the man pictured. The 81-year-old victim left her handbag in a disabled toilet in Sainsbury’s in Fifth Avenue, Harlow, at about 12pm on July 18.

When she returned to retrieve it, a three figure sum of cash had been taken from her purse.

Police want to speak to the man pictured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Andrew Mullis at Harlow police station on 101.
