All types of leisure and educational activities/events will be considered whether they’re active or seated, from guest speaker events to tea dances and sporting activities or for community group activities/classes which start on Silver Sunday weekend and carry on afterwards. Eric Buckmaster executive member for health and wellbeing said: “Last year there were eight events organised in the district including parties and lunches. I hope many more groups will apply this year, as these grants offer a marvellous opportunity for our residents to go along to an enjoyable social event and get together with other members of the community.”
