As well as reading stories featuring Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck. Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Squirrel Nutkin among others, the children planted their own vegetable patch, made carrot cake and had a fancy dress Peter Rabbit tea party. They also did bunny yoga and lots of Peter Rabbit inspired arts and crafts, and even got to meet three baby rabbits.
Louise Farrow, Nursery Manager, said: “Beatrix Potter’s stories are so engaging and imaginative; it’s no wonder children love them just as much today as ever. We had a lovely week and the children discovered some new favourite stories and characters along the way. They were particularly excited about meeting the baby rabbits – it was like being visited by some real live Flopsy Bunnies!”
