AN inquest into the death of a Polish man fatally attacked outside a takeaway has heard his death was caused by a head injury.
Arkadiusz Jozwik, 39, was killed at The Stow in Harlow, Essex, on 27 August.
Six teenagers have been arrested and released on police bail as part of a murder inquiry.
Opening and adjourning the inquest, Greater Essex Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray said she wanted copies of police reports on the case.
She also asked for a copy of a report from the post-mortem examination carried out on Mr Jozwik – who was also known as Arek.
Because of the ongoing police investigation, Mrs Beasley-Murray said, she was not releasing his body for a funeral at the present time.
The inquest, which heard Mr Jozwik was declared dead at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, was adjourned until next week.
