Police investigating the assault of two men in Harlow are continuing to appeal for witnesses, including someone who may have filmed the incident.

Officers were called at about 3.35am on Sunday, September 4 after reports of an altercation outside the William Aylmer pub in Kitson Way.

Witnesses reported two men, who are both Polish and in their 30s, were attacked by a group of four or five men. Officers are treating this as a potential hate crime.

One of the men suffered a cut to his head while the other suffered a broken nose.

Both victims were treated at Princess Alexandra Hospital and later discharged.

Detective Sergeant Tina Hart, of Harlow CID, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and are particularly keen to hear from someone who may have filmed the incident on his mobile phone.

“He may have vital evidence that could assist us with the investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Harlow CID on 101, or they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via an anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
