A REVAMP of Prentice Place, the Abercrombie Centre and a new block of flats are among Harlow’s applications for planning permission in September.
According to Harlow Council’s planning register, a proposal for the “regeneration of [the] existing neighbourhood centre, including improvements to [the] public realm, alterations and works to the public highway, alterations to external envelope of buildings, construction of new stores and refurbishment of existing dwellings” was deposited on September 15 and registered a day later.
However, works to the public highway are subject to a separate application, which the council is yet to receive.
Elsewhere, the development of a new health centre to replace the existing Lister House Health Centre would comprise of a GP surgery, dental surgery, a pharmacy and dispensing chemist, plus new crossover vehicle access off Abercrombie Way, entailing a new car park, motorcycle park, landscaping and footpath and a new, multi-use games area.
The application was deposited on September 6 and registered three days later.
Finally, yet more new homes could hit the town as the erection of a four-storey block of 24 flats is being planned for Redstone House of Crown Gate, the application of which was also deposited on September 6 and registered three days later.
The three applications are currently being processed and must still be assessed by public consultations before final decisions can be made.
