ESSEX Police have moved on a large group of travellers from private land on a Harlow industrial estate.

As YH reported on Saturday, the travellers moved onto the disused site on Edinburgh Way on Edinburgh Way.

The temporary injunction against encampments in Harlow only applies to public land.

Police used the relevant powers to oversee their expulsion from the land close to the Lock and Storage facility.

Essex Police also reported on the aftermath at the site, tweeting: “A now clear car park – the owners are pleased & it’s now the clean up operation of the faeces & discarded items!”

Yet again Harlow taxpayers fit the bill, and clean up the vile mess. Any fixed penalty notices issues or collected I wonder? I expect not!
