Harlow Running Club members competed in the Essex 10 Mile Road Race
Championships held at Tiptree. Carinne Jay was the star performer on the day,
winning the silver medal in her age category, an improvement on her bronze medal
at last weeks Half Marathon Championships. Jay finished in 98th place out of 446
finishers and 2nd Female Vet 45 in a superb 1hr 12min 12sec. First back for
Harlow was Jamie Jephcott in 45th place in 1.06.52 followed by Andy Bradley 82nd
in 1.10.36, Martyn Coulter 100th in a personal best time for the distance (PB)
of 1.12.56, John Tennant 136th in 1.15.40, Catherine Ridge 146th in 1.16.22
(PB), Coliin Moody 152nd in 1.17.10 and Martin McColgan 191st in 1.21.16.

Meanwhile at the Edmonton Run The River 10K Rob Lowe was victorious in 1st place
out of 227 finishers in a fantastic 36min 20sec. He was followed home by Alex
Smith 8th in 39.13, Adrian Fell 15th and 1st Vet 40 in 41.06, Sharon Wright 28th
and 2nd Female in 43.20 and Wendy Spring 106th in 52.20.

At the Great Cumbrian Run Half Marathon Daniel Jephcott finished in 201st place
out of 1133 finishers in a PB time of 1hr 37min 19sec.

At the Great Eastern Half Marathon at Peterborough Sean Flynn finished in 755th
place out of 4247 finishers in 1hr 39min 40sec.

At the Royal Parks Half Marathon, running through four London parks, Michele
Hyde finished in 5310th place out of 15980 finishers in 1hr 54min 52sec (PB),
Kerry Mavris was 6338th in 1.58.10 (PB) and Pushpa Mistry 9787th in 2.10.32.

At the Kiev Half Marathon in Ukraine Andy Kinny finished in 853rd place out of
906 finishers in 2hrs 21min 25sec.

At the Reims Marathon in France Will Wall finished in 324th place out of 813
finishers in 3hrs 48min 14sec.

At the Harlow parkrun 5K Afewerk Rossom was first finisher out of 146 finishers
in 18min 14sec. He was followed by Darren Tiley 5th in 20.58, Terry Ridge 7th in
21.12, Spencer Brooks 18th in 23.22, Anna Robey 24th 24.11, Graham Saville 31st
in 25.11, Debbie Barry 37th in 25.33, Martin Elven 38th in 25.42 (PB), Louise
Kedge 45th in 27.05, Robin Lozeau 46th in 27.09, Catherine Ridge 53rd in 28.04,
Louise Cootes 54th in 28.06, Alan Wellbelove 88th in 31.27, Melanie Harris 106th
in 33.20, Terry Pike 116th in 35.53 and Paul Schroder 117th in 35.54.

At the Hatfield Forest parkrun 5K Alan Broughton finished in 8th place out of
188 finishers in 19min 45sec followed by Owen Haigh 11th in 19.53 and Jason
Haigh 13th in 20.21.

At the Gunpowder parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jamie Luck finished in 21st place
out of 131 finishers in 22min 17sec and Laura Jephcott was 75th in 29.05.

At the Bury St Edmunds parkrun 5K Gary Godfrey was 69th out of 249 finishers in
24min 17sec.
