The Princess Alexandra Trust to host a Christmas Carol Concert

Lifestyle / Tue 6th Dec 2016 pm31 03:29pm

THE Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust would like to invite everyone to a Hospital and Community Christmas Celebration event at St Paul’s Church on Wednesday 7 December at 5.30pm.

This the second year that the Trust has held a Christmas celebration and taken the opportunity to thank staff, volunteers, patients, supporters and the general public for their support over the year gone by.

Phil Morley, Chief Executive, says: “We hope to see as many of our staff, friends, volunteers and patients there as possible. This year we have faced many challenges and as a Trust I think we have recognised that what is most important is working together.
“It is the time of year for reflection and also to look forward to 2017. It is the perfect event to get into the festive spirit so please spread the word.”

On arrival you can expect mince pies and mulled wine. The festive service starts at 5.30pm and will include music and reflection, with carols, readings and prayers. Both The Downs Primary School and Nursery and St James Primary School in Harlow will be performing on the night.

The event has been kindly supported by Tesco in Church Langley and Lidl in Harlow who have provided refreshments.

Christian Okeke, Hospital Chaplain who will be taking part in the service has said: “Christmas is a time of delight and joy, but it is also a time to celebrate Jesus and remember what he sacrificed.  As a community in Harlow, it is important that during this season we come together to celebrate and reflect on what we are thankful for and what we could do better in the New Year.”
