FOUR of Tottenham Hotspur’s stars delighted sick youngsters at Princess Alexandra Hospital earlier this week when they turned up with sacks of Christmas gifts.
During the afternoon, Centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, Goalkeeper Michel Vorm, Right-back Kyle Walker and Midfielder for the Ladies Team Riana Soobadoo made their way around Dolphin Ward speaking to patients and families, and posing for photos with the children.
Lisa Wastell, Dolphin Ward Play Specialist helped to organise the event and said: “The kids were delighted to meet the players who really cheered them up. They also took a trip to the Neonatal Unit which meant a lot to parents and their newborns. It was so nice to see the smiles on the faces of those children who are with us over the Christmas period, and this visit from the Spurs team certainly did that.”
“The children were very excited when they received the presents and we are grateful to the team for their compassion and kindness throughout the visit.”
Kyle Walker said: “It’s never easy to see children in hospital at this time of year, especially being a father myself. But it’s important for us to come here and put smiles on a few faces – it’s the least we can do.”
