Shape the future of policing in Harlow

Politics / Sun 22nd Jan 2017 at 04:35pm

ARE you interested in shaping the way policing is delivered in Harlow? We are inviting local residents to join us for a special meeting on Wednesday 25 January at Harlow College, Velizy Avenue at 6:30pm.

The meeting, chaired by the Harlow Independent Advisory Group, will give you an opportunity to have your say and help Essex Police provide a fair and non-discriminatory police service to all communities in Harlow.

Whether you would like to offer us advice or guidance, give us constructive feedback, or raise an important issue about policy development or police recruitment, we would like to hear from you.

The aim is to better help us understand how our processes and policies can affect the many diverse communities in Harlow.

The key roles of the Independent Advisory Group are to:

• build communities’ trust and confidence
• promote community cohesion
• act as critical friends
• promote the reporting and prevention of hate crime

For further details or to confirm attendance, contact Becci Court at Harlow Council on 01279 446455 or [email protected]
