Big switch proving popular in Harlow

News / Wed 22nd Mar 2017 at 12:12pm

REGISTRATION numbers for the Essex Energy Switch have reached an all-time high of over 7,000, and its good news for residents who, on average, can make a saving of £109.

After successful switches over previous years, residents and businesses in Essex have collectively saved over £2million on gas and electricity bills. And there is still time for residents to switch and save now with the window to switch energy supplier open until Tuesday 28 March.

Residents that have already registered for an offer are urged to review it in light of recent price hikes from the big six suppliers. Once again it will be the loyal energy customers that are the ones losing out, which is why switching frequently really is the best way to stay in a competitive market.

Cllr David Finch, Leader of Essex County Council, who has registered for the Essex Energy Switch in previous years, said: “Year-on-year, residents in Essex are proving to be savvy with their energy bills, and we are delighted with the all-time high of registrants for the Winter Energy Switch, however there is always more we can do.”

Cllr Finch continued: “The Essex Energy Switch offers a trusted scheme for price comparison, and not only can you register yourself, but you can also register relatives or neighbours interested in comparing their options.”

The Spring Essex Energy Switch will be launching in April and offers residents yet another opportunity to price compare.

Anyone who pays for gas or electricity is eligible to take part in the Spring Essex Energy Switch and it takes less than five minutes to sign up.

People who have signed up for previous switches will need to register again to take advantage.

Don’t forget, registration is free and you are under no obligation to switch providers. The prices offered will be based on the number of residents who register. This means that the more people who register their interest, the better the deal offered.

The auction will be held on 23 May.
