GE17: Harlow Labour launch bitter attacks on Tories

WELL, it looks like the gloves are off as Harlow Labour activists have launched a series of attacks on Robert Halfon and the other Harlow Conservatives.

It has not gone down well, with some Conservatives, including deputy leader of the Harlow Conservatives, Joel Charles, complaining that they have gone over the score.

Labour councillor Tony Durcan has made a number of references to Conservative candidate campaigning by sitting on the side of the road (A414). Conservative activists have pointed out that Mr Halfon has been doing this since 2001 as he is disabled and can only do door to door with great difficulty.

Others have been quite “mild”, pointing out that Mr Halfon was visiting a school, Milwards Academy, despite cuts that could see £52,826 cut from the budget.

Cllr Mark Ingall took a photo of a group of laughing Conservative activists and wrote: “Tories laughing about long waits in A and E…Disgusting”.

Mr Halfon had asked for a clean fight but it does look like it is going to be

It was silly to think the left would support a "clean fight" based on policies.
