ESSEX Outdoors’ action-packed School Holiday Activity Days are the ideal way for young people aged 8-16 to try exciting new outdoor experiences during May half-term.

During each activity day children have the opportunity to take part in up to four fun and challenging activities, ranging from archery, canoeing and climbing to mountain biking, high ropes and zip wire.

Constant supervision by professional instructors throughout the day gives parents peace of mind and ensures everyone has a memorable day.

School Holiday Activity Days cost £30 per day per child and take place at each of Essex Outdoors’ four centres: Bradwell, Danbury, Harlow and Mersea.

All technical equipment is provided for the day – participants just need to bring comfortable (and waterproof, just in case) clothing and footwear, as well as a packed lunch and a drink.

Children can be dropped off at our centres between 8.30am – 9.30am and collected any time between 4.30pm – 5pm.

Cllr Ray Gooding, Cabinet Member for Education at Essex County Council, said: “Essex Outdoors activity days are a great way to get children outside enjoying the fresh air.

“It gives them the perfect opportunity to try a range of new and exciting activities.”

Experts at delivering outdoor education and adventure for more than 40 years, School Holiday Activity Days at Essex Outdoors are a popular choice for parents and children alike, as well as being a Children’s University Learning Destination.
