HARLOW’S Labour candidate in the General Election has sent a message of thanks to all who voted for him.

Phil Waite said: “Tonight’s result in Harlow showed their is an appetite for change we grew our vote from 2015 by 4K or 8%.

I want to thank my wife & Family for the huge support they have given me over the last 6 weeks.

My campaign team lead by my agent Jon Clempner & campaign manager John Strachan did an incredible job getting our message out to the people of Harlow.

I’d also like to thank all the people who came to support us both from the Trade Union movement and from nearby towns your help was much appreciated.

A substantial number of young voters have been enthused by our campaign both locally and nationally. They are our future and I commit to building on that work despite not being elected.

“Last but not least I’d like to thank the 17,200 constituents of Harlow & the Villages who put their trust in me my team and the Labour Party.
We will continue to fight the battle to ensure social justice for all not just the rich”.
