Sumners Slam Dunk! – Sumners Basketball Court Activities Day

ON Sunday, 3rd September Harlow Young Labour will be hosting a day of free basketball activities at the newly-refurbished Sumners Basketball Court (sometimes known as ‘The Cage’) on Broadley Road by Water Lane Primary School.

The basketball court will be given a new lease of life when it is rejuvenated on Saturday, 2nd September and the activities day will serve as its relaunch.

This will be a brilliant day for the whole family before the end of the school holidays and provides a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the local facilities available in the community.

Gareth Dickson, a former player for the Harlow Hawks Basketball Club, shall be running a coaching session from 10am-12pm, followed by three-on-three tournaments at 1pm, for children of all ages and abilities.

The activities will be fun for all involved so it doesn’t matter whether you’re the next Shaquille O’Neal or you’ve never played before, this will provide a great chance to come and try out.

Refreshments will be available on site from 12pm and free parking is available adjacent to the basketball court.
