UKIP announce candidate for Toddbrook

UKIP 2

HARLOW UKIP have thrown their hat into the ring and announced a candidate for the Toddbrook By-election in Harlow.

Patsy Long will contest the seat made vacant due to Labour councillor, Rod Truan returning to his native Cornwall due to a job promotion.

This should be a straight forward election for Labour. They won by 423 votes in 2016. It will be interesting to see where the UKIP votes go, if their vote declines as sharply as it did around the country in May and June.

However, Patsy and her team will no doubt give of their best.

The vote will take place on Thursday September 28th.

Don't be so sure it'll be easy for Labour! When Rod Truan was re-elected here in 2014 he only beat UKIP by 28 votes!

Perhaps Patsy Long will do as well as Mark Gough (UKMaverick785) did in the recent General Election? UKIP have had their day, which explains former Harlow parliamentary candidate Sam Stopplecamp deserting UKIP to return to his true blue Tory roots. Europe and scapegoating immigrants will only take a party so far and downhill into the gutter is where UKIP is going.
