Harlow MP, Robert Halfon, calls for lower waiting times for autism diagnosis

SPEAKING in a debate on the waiting times for autism diagnosis, Robert Halfon called for lower waiting times and more support during and after the diagnosis process.

The Harlow MP praised the work of Milwards Primary and Passmores Secondary schools, which both have specialist autism units in Harlow, as well as the work of Harlow charity PACT for Autism.

Robert said, “This was a very important debate. The diagnosis process for those with autism is incredibly complicated and can go on for years. I want there to be guidelines that are properly enforced to make sure that every person with autism can access the diagnosis and support that they need, quickly and efficiently.”
