Harlow Saints Snatch Victory in Cliff Hanger

HARLOW Saints faced a young and very fast Woodford side who rushed to an early three try lead before the Harlow pack started to show their skill. They came close to the visitors try line before driving maul took them over the line for a try making it 10 – 29 to Woodford at the turnaround.

Although Woodford had the edge on pace the power of the Saints forwards began to dominate in the second half. They attacked by driving towards the line and dominated possession from the set scrums. When they held they provided good ball for the Harlow backs which they used well. Slowly the scoreboard moved in Harlow’s favour and then Harlow snatched victory with full back Sid Mortimer slotting a penalty with the last kick of the match.
