THE HARLOW Town Centre action plan was discussed at the last meeting of the ruling Labour cabinet.

Conservative councillor Joel Charles gently probed what form the consultation has taken.

. arises from incoming vehicles, people who will not be using enhanced bus routes. Glad to hear support for Northern by pass, but too little, a Southern by pass is also needed. Together these would provide access points all round the perimeter of the town relieving the internal load. Add Park and ride around the perimeter, restrict car movement from them into the town and provide a joined up cycle network: see Portsmouth.

Homes: 7000 jobs from Kao Science Park and Public Health England plus waiting list for accommodation plus hidden millennials unable to setup / afford homes plus hidden sofa surfers minimum of 15000. We need Harlow North plus a HARLOW south both designed on garden city Gibbards principles. Plus extension of central line to Harlow and on to Stansted. Let's have some vision,!!
