Fireworks 17

This popular event has now been running for 30 plus years and this year’s event is the finale for Harlow’s 70th birthday celebrations.

The entertainment will begin at 6pm with the Harlow Playhouse stage hosted by Terry Gauci and featuring performances from: The Pauline Quirke Academy, Hip Hop Pop, Harlow Ballet, Forever Jackson, Studio 3 Academy and West End Star Rob Houchen.

The bonfire will be lit by the Chair of Harlow Council, Councillor Sue Livings, at 6.45pm with the fireworks display following at 7pm.

This event is free admission but donations are welcome for St Clare Hospice and Action for Family Carers. There will be a food and refreshment village.

Handmade paper lanterns, which have been created by local families at workshops across the town, will form part of a mini-parade and display leading to the Playhouse stage.

For the safety of those attending, Fifth Avenue will close at 5.15pm and re-open at 8.30pm. Limited parking is available on the Showground for Blue Badge holders arriving before 6.15pm.
