HARLOW Council has gone on the record to explain why they have written off debts of £162,954.99.

The debt comes from two accounts.

The matter was discussed at a recent cabinet meeting of the ruling Labour group.

The Harlow Conservative group asked a number of questions regarding the debt.

Portfolio holder, cllr Mike Danvers revealed that a large proportion of this debt (Organisation A) is the now defunct Harlow Welfare Rights Centre.

Another monstrous clanger by the REDS in 'arlow. Writing off a debt of nearly £130.000 because of the chaos within the group, right hand left hand syndrome. Forever harping on about having to cut costs because of the Torys. But, this shows just how inept they are, I wonder what other skeletons are rattling around behind the brash, cocky face that they put on ? Carry on farce at it's best. Vote LABOUR at your PERIL.
