UK Power Networks visit Abercrombie Way

News / Sat 17th Feb 2018 at 05:58pm

AN ESSEX County councillor has provided an update on the ongoing problem with street lights on Abercrombie Way.

The long main road has been plunged into darkness for some time.

Cllr Mike Hardware (Cons) looked into the problem.

He said: UK Power Networks (UKPN) has been to the site and has discovered that the problem is with the cabling.

This cabling is not theirs. So they have referred it back to Essex Highways.

“I am in touch with Essex County Council and hope for an early resolution.

Surely the initial assesment/checks would have been done by ECC who finding no supply no doubt contacted UKPN,now they are saying the problem lies with the cable which is not our problem,if so why could a phone call from the ECC engineers who first attended not been made to find out who is resposible and whilst on site traced the fault. Just another load of buck passing and incompetence and we who are paying for it have to suffer,i despair of what this country has become.
