Communities Secretary announces Harlow and Gilston Garden Town are in funding final round
ON Wednesday, the Government announced it would be working with 44 areas across England to develop projects with the Housing Infrastructure Fund, with the potential to deliver over 400,000 homes. One of these areas is Harlow and Gilston Garden Town. The local authority will now be supported by the Government to develop the project.
The Housing Infrastructure Fund was announced in July 2017. The Fund was more than doubled at the Autumn Budget to £5 billion.
The Harlow and Gilston Garden Town project will now be developed with a view to producing a business case, informing the final funding decision.
Robert Halfon said: “It’s great news that the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town project has made it to the final round of the Housing Infrastructure Fund process. Harlow is a fast-growing town and I will keep pushing hard for much-needed housing and infrastructure funding.”

Perhaps the Communities Secretary and Robert Half-on Harlow's Side can explain why people in our community are going to food banks, children are going to bed and into school hungry and there are so many people sleeping rough, with all on the rise under this "government".
Blinding idea. Standing room only on trains, roads blocked no school or doctors places and they believe increasing the town's population is a good idea......
