ALBERT was born in Harlow in the summer of 1896. He was known as George in his later life.
The 1901 census shows him residing in Netteswell. The 1911 census shows George now 15 residing at 3 Brook Cottages, Churchgate Street, Harlow.
Sergeant George Cordell, 202262, enlisted in Harlow in The 2nd/5th Batallion of of The Gloucestershire Regiment.
Goerger was killed in action on March 31st, 1918 at the age of 22 and is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorail to the Missing, France.
