ESSEX Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision on Monday night.

On arrival on First Avenue, crews reported that one person was trapped in a vehicle, following an incident involving one other car.

Crews were able to release the casualty by 10.31pm, before leaving them in the care of the Ambulance Service.
