WE hope you have all been cheering on Harlow representatives in the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Andrew Osagie, Richard Chiassario and Jo Harten have all flown the flag in the England vest.

But forty years ago, Sue Mapstone (now Collins) won a silver medal in the Pentathlon at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Canada.

Sue’s perfomance in the five events were as follows:

100M Hurdles: 14.17
Shot Putt: 11.32
High Jump: 1.75
Long Jump: 6.06
800 metres: 2.19.3

We interviewed Sue and asked her to reflect on a silver summer for Sue.
