MEDALS and rosettes for Harlow Gymnastics Club at the Essex NDP county grade competition in Colchester. All 34 club gymnasts passed their respective grades in the county event, competing against over 250 gymnasts from all the top-flight clubs in Essex.

The first medal was awarded to Charlotte Brough (16), a student at St Marks, who was commended and won the bronze medal in the top level Grade 1 age 15+ competition after placing 2nd on vault & bars and 3rd on beam, floor and R&C. Teammate Aisha Jones (15) was awarded the overall 4th place rosette after finishing 2nd on vault, 4th on bars, beam, floor and R&C.

Further medal joy in the Grade 5 age 10/11 event with Eliza Swanepoel (10) earning a distinction and the bronze medal after placing 4th on R&C and 5th on beam. In the same event Kara Mcmahon (9) placed 5th on both floor and R&C, finishing 11th overall.

Rosettes in the Grade 2 age 14+ event for twins Taylah & Halle Andrews Clark (17) who were commended in joint 6th position overall with Taylah placing 3rd on bars, 4th on floor and 5th vault, and Halle placing 4th on bars, 5th on both beam and floor as well as 6th on R&C. Amy Gosden (13) finished 8th overall after placing 3rd on R&C.
In the Grade 3 age 11/12 event, Kacey Butler (11) received a distinction and finished 7th overall after placing 3rd on beam and 6th on both vault and R&C, with teammate Megan Spencer (11) commended after placing 5th on beam and 10th overall.

Selene Virga (9) placed 2nd on beam and 3rd on floor to finished 8th overall with a distinction in the Grade 4 age 10 event. Sadie Cooper (9) placed 4th on bars, 5th on R&C, 6th on both beam & floor to finishing 9th overall with a distinction. Summer Dolan (10) was commended in 21st overall position after placing 5th on vault. Overall scores in same event [D] = distinction, [C] = commended, [P] = pass: Miley Bex (9) [C] 18th; Honey Gillick (9) [C] 19th; Ruby Barker (9) [C] 20th; Eloise Moulds (9) [C] 23rd; Connie Allen (9) [C] 23rd; Amelia Palmer (9) [C] 24th; Ellie Hodges [C] 25th; Mia Fuller (9) [C] 26th and Alex Gronert (10) [P] 27th. In the Grade 4 age 11/12 event Aimee Cullen (10) [P] placed 17th overall.

Grace Quick (8) earned a distinction after placing 1st on vault and 13th overall in the Grade 6 age 8 event. Milana Lawrence (8) was commended after placing 2nd on vault and 16th overall. Placing overall in the same event: Nina Robinson (7) [C] 15th; Lola Manuel (7) [C] 17th; Renee Stewart (7) [C] 18th; Sylvie Rowe [P] 19th. In the Grade 6 age 9/10 event Charlotte Leask (8) [C] and Ophelia Gibbs (8) [C] placed 10th and 12th overall respectively.

Competing in the Grade 5 age 9 event Lois Covill (8) [C], Grace Hoskin Wise (8) [C], Amy Abery (8) [P] and Calleigh Brownjohn (8) [P] placed 13th, 14th, 15th & 16th overall respectively.

Charlotte Brough and Eliza Swanepoel have both qualified to represent Essex at the upcoming NDP Regional Grades final.
