BRAVE Harlow Primary school athletes beat the heat at the Essex Cross Country Champs.
They had teams from Tanys Dell, Hatfield Heath, Church Langley and several from Henry Moore. Conditions were tough, as the ground was rock hard and the heat was unbearable at times.
Organsiser David Stacey said: “Runners all did really well and proudly represented their schools and our town; Church Langley were the only school to place in the top three of any of the team events, with a magnificent third place in the Year 4 boys team event; they had runners finish in 2nd, 4th, 17th and 33rd (approximately 90 runners in every event).
