Athletics: Schroder’s are all shook up after Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll running weekend

HARLOW Running Club members Paul and Wendy Schroder competed in Liverpool’s Rock ‘n’ Roll running weekend. On Saturday they ran the 5k race, Paul finishing in 121st place out of 3771 finishers in 21.19 and Wendy was 524th in 25.14.

Then on Sunday they ran the Half Marathon, Paul finishing in 469th place out of 8975 finishers in 1.38.49 and Wendy in 4521st place in 2.16.02.

Meanwhile at the Braintree 5 Mile race Martyn Coulter finished in 17th place out of 204 finishers in a PB time of 33.03, Louise Cootes was 114th in 44.08 and Brenda Clayton 156th in 49.21, a new Female Vet 70 Club Record.

At the Lisbon Half Ironman (1.2 mile open water swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run) Nick D’Alton finished in 233rd place out of 478 finishers in a PB time of 5.06.18.

At Harlow parkrun Craig Segal was 1st finisher out of 242 finishers in 18.34. He was followed home by Danny McCree 2nd in 19.28, Michael Woodruff 3rd in 19.31(PB), Martin Westley 5th in 19.38, Ryan Smith 6th in 19.38, Alan Broughton 9th in 19.59, Ben Usher 10th in 20.28, Andy Terrell 12th in 20.35, Steve McKenzie 17th in 21.48, John Bull 18th in 21.52, Andy Smith 28th in 23.06, Graham Saville 29th in 23.10, Bobby Draper 30th in 23.13(PB), Terry Ridge 31st in 23.17, Steve Cowlin 42nd in 23.57, Chris McCarthy 43rd in 24.02, Peter Ayling 46th in 24.23, Martin Elven 54th in 25.09, Robin Lozeau 60th in 25.41, Anna Robey 63rd in 26.04, Jim Bates 66th in 26.18, Martyn Coulter 68th in 26.26, Laura Prime 69th in 26.26, Spencer Brooks 80th in 27.30, Debbie Barry 81st in 27.31, Austin Nyamande 101st in 29.48, Louise Peacock 109th in 31.00(PB), Peter Mills 114th in 31.27, Liz Roberts 121st in 32.01, Kerry Mavris 126th in 33.12, Louise Cootes 138th in 34.32, Andy Kitson 186th in 39.15, Karen Kitson 186th in 39.15(PB) and Sara Coombe 226th in 59.26.

At Hackney Marshes parkrun Sharon Wright finished in 24th place out of 226 finishers in 20.00 and Andy Bradley was 28th in 20.20 (PB).

At Bishop’s Stortford parkrun Darren Rautenbach finished in 61st place out of 305 finishers in 23.36, Justin Patten was 79th in 25.06, Teresa Stickland 213th in 31.56 and Brenda Clayton 246th in 34.17.

At Great Dunnow parkrun Paul Dixon finished in 22nd place out of 172 finishers in 23.16.

At Ilford parkrun Alan Wellbelove finished in 156th place out of 268 finishers in 31.49.
