IF you go down to Netteswell Woods, you may be in for a big surprise. It appears that the main sewer has been blocked and according to our sources, sewage has overflowed into the brooks that run from the back of Westfield to the duckpond at Waterhouse Moor.

The main trunk sewer that takes all Harlow’s sewerage parallels Todd Brook and Cannons Brook, and then the Stort en route to Rye Meads.

So we took a little walk into the woods and look what we found. There’s quite an operation going on.
