Bishops Stortford Red, Yellow & Orange Belt U12 Championships– Bishops Stortford

SEVEN young players from Harlow Judo Club travelled to nearby Club, Bishops Stortford, to take part in the Red, Yellow & Orange Belt U12 Championships.

The team consisted of Millie Morgan (9), Lydia Herod (8), Thomas Norman (11), Harry Franks (10), Jack Loft (10), George Franks (11) and Eli Balski, (9).

They represented the Club in a competition which is always well attended by very good Clubs in and out of the Northern Home Counties area. All players are grouped according to grade and weight. The team fought very hard in their respective categories and for some of them, as usual, they faced familiar faces. There were good techniques from everyone – even from the novice players, still new to competition.

Millie claimed the Club’s only gold medal, George took a Silver medal and Bronze medals went to Lydia, Thomas, Jack and Eli.

Coach Mick Ellis said “As usual, I am very pleased with my team’s performance today – they all displayed great techniques despite a couple of the players still being new to competitions.”
