New Health Secretary agrees to visit Harlow’s hospital

TODAY, the new Health and Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock, agreed to visit The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.
During Health Questions, Robert Halfon raised the incredible work of staff at the Princess Alexandra Hospital but explained that the deteriorating infrastructure made their day’s work so much harder.
Robert Halfon said: “I’m really pleased to hear the new Health Secretary will be visiting Harlow’s hospital. Since becoming Harlow’s MP, I have campaigned hard to protect our NHS and Health Ministers have visited regularly.
The hospital staff work so hard every single day but their work is made so much harder by the deteriorating infrastructure. With a bid for the capital funding our hospital so desperately needs in place, it’s important that the Health Secretary sees the hospital first-hand and meets staff face-to-face”

We should welcome the new minister so he can see what PAH has achieved and want can be achieved with public investment. Please don’t forget the biggest challenges remain all community,primary care and mental health services.I hope he will have the chance to meet the CCG. Health care isn’t just about a building. Let’s see if he will make a difference.

But then, what do we really expect from a constituency Tory Party that selects candidates that compare Islam to alcoholism? The gutless Peter Lamb said that then hid away like coward he is. And, as the Conservative Party in Harlow selected him AFTER he said that, can we assume that racism and Islamophobia is the policy of the local party?
