West of England Age Band Open – Weston-super-Mare

OWEN Lambert (12) was Harlow Judo Club’s sole representative who made the long but successful trip to Weston-super-Mare to compete at the West of England Age Band Open.

The Pre-Cadet section was open to any grade player as long as they were born within 2004/05. Owen won all of his fights in his weight category, to see him into the finals and clinch the Gold medal. He showed great ne-waza, (ground work) and judo techniques to outclass his opponents. This is another Area conquered that can be added to the Southern and London areas that he already holds. Owen’s next challenge is to take the Eastern Area title in a couple of weeks time and hopes to achieve the remaining area titles in the UK before competing in the British Championships at the end of year.
