Road traffic incidents as far as Dartford Crossing are having a knock-on effect to M25 Junction 27, M11 near Harlow and up on to the A414 through Harlow.

Essex Police: “We are currently at the scene of a collision involving two HGVs on the M25 clockwise between junction 30 and 31.

The stretch of road has been closed and will remain closed for the next few hours due to the complexity of the vehicle recovery.

This is already having a knock-on effect to the traffic volume on surrounding roads, in particular the A13 and the A127.

We recommend avoiding these roads where possible and leaving extra time for your journey.

Both drivers are being treated for minor injuries, no arrests have been made and enquires are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the collision.

Witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage are asked to contact Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting incident 647 of August 28. Alternatively you can email [email protected]
