HARLOW Running Club fielded 21 runners at the Essex Half Marathon Championships held on a warm and sunny Sunday Morning at Pleshey, near Chelmsford. Performance of the day went to Carinne Jay who finished in 121st place out of 396 finishers and 1st Female Vet 45 to win the gold medal in her age category in 1hr 39min 48sec. First home was Craig Segal 20th in an excellent personal best time of 1.21.02. Meanwhile at the Richmond Half Marathon Martyn Coulter finished in 89th place out of 2608 finishers in 1.32.58, Dionne Jones was 510th in 1.47.45 and Louise Cootes 1306th in 2.03.46.

At the London Duathalon (10km run, 44km bike, 5km run) at Richmond Park Jon Steadman finished in 292nd place out of 1008 finishers in 2.46.49.

At the Thorpe Park Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 21km bike, 5km run) in Surrey Paul Schroder finished in 112th place out of 249 finishers in 1.23.50.

At Harlow parkrun Dan Chapman finished in 4th place out of 224 finishers in a 18.18. At Victoria Dock parkrun Paul Schroder finished in 21st place out of 89 finishers in 21.33 and Wendy Schroder was 50th in 25.55.

At the Gunpowder parkrun in Waltham Abbey Bobby Draper finished in 37th place out of 209 finishers in 23.41, Ayshea Pite was 62nd in 25.52 (PB) and Robin Lozeau 67th in 26.08.

At Preston Park parkrun in Brighton Alan Cootes finished in 151st place out of 540 finishers in 24.43.

At Islington parkrun Alan Wellbelove finished in 137th place out of 289 finishers in 25.28.

At Hertford parkrun David Page finished in 111th place out of 341 finishers in 25.37 and Janice Page was 149th in 26.53.

At Heartwood Forest parkrun in St Albans Teresa Stickland finished in 142nd place out of 218 finishers in 29.55 and Brenda Clayton was 144th in 30.06.

At Rutland Water parkrun Andy Kinney finished in 171st place out of 293 finishers in 29.04.

At Penrose parkrun in Cornwall Peter Mills finished in 164th place out of 225 finishers in 31.26.
