Harlow Jiu Jitsu success in Gibraltar

MEMBERS of Harlow Jiu Jitsu Club, who are based at the GPCA, Abercrombie Way, have recently returned from Gibraltar, having attended the 26th United Nations of Ju Jitsu World Congress and Championships.
They were part of the Great Britain squad who attended. 13 other nations took part. These included South Africa, USA, Germany, Italy and the host nation, Gibraltar.
Sensei Dave Rintoul 6th Dan, was there as one of the officials.
The two junior members who attended, won medals.
Keiran McGuinness, aged 13, took BRONZE in Ground Fighting, in his group.
Lacey-Jay Mace, aged 9, took GOLD in Random attacks, in her group.
Sensei Dave said it was a proud moment for the club and parents.
It was also a testament to the training given by Sensei Luke Shipwright, prior to the competition.
The next United Nations will be in Spain in 2020, but the squad are already in training for their next competition, in Sheffield, on the 10th of November.
