Table Tennis report from BATTS of Harlow
THANKS to everyone who came to support our top team in their Premier Division clash against Cardiff City on Sunday. We witnessed some truly amazing table tennis. This was certain to be a tough call, given that the Cardiff team were led by Jiawang Song from China who had recently beaten the England number 4 senior very easily.
An excellent and very exciting doubles win by Ethan Walsh and Alexis Mommessin was decisive in giving BATTS the edge, and we were delighted to achieve our second successive home victory, winning the match 3 – 2 and giving BATTS a mid-table position.
There is still plenty to play for, and our next home fixture on Saturday 12th January is against Drumchapel, the team from Glasgow who are sitting just one point ahead of us.
Make a note of the date now and click HERE to see the current table. On Saturday our two junior teams will be in Derby begin their campaign in the Junior British League, with a full weekend of matches.
