Letter to Editor: New councillor thanks people of Netteswell

Politics / Sun 11th Nov 2018 pm30 07:39pm

Dear Sir,

FOLLOWING being elected onto the Council on Thursday night, I would like to extend my gratitude to all the people of Netteswell who voted for me.

It’s an absolute honour to be able to represent the people of Netteswell on the Council, and I am going work hard to listen to my residents’ concerns, and make sure that they’re heard in the Council Chamber.

I am super excited to work alongside my fellow ward Councillors Edna and Mike, and make sure to continue the great work of my predecessor Waida Forman.

I’ve really enjoyed getting out and meeting residents in the lead up to the by-election, and I’m looking forward to getting back on the doorstep to meet those I’ve not yet met, and to be able to introduce myself as their new local Councillor!

As well as support from the people of Netteswell, I’ve been so grateful for all the support and hard work from the Harlow Labour Party and beyond, for coming out to help with the campaign.

Once again, thank you to all the residents who put their trust in me to represent them on the Council – and to all the amazingly hard working volunteers that offered up their time in the lead up to the election, from delivering leaflets to knocking doors.

I’m super excited to fully invest myself in my new role as Councillor, and to start the hard work!
