A HARLOW Judo Club student has reached the 2019 British Schools Championships set to be held in Sheffield next year.

Owen Lambert, 13, representing the John Warner School, Hoddesdon, secured his place after winning gold at the London Area British Schools Regional Championships earlier this week, winning all four of his rounds in the Years 8/9 section of his weight group.

Owen Lambert won all four of his rounds to take home the gold medal.

Head Coach Mick Ellis, who coached Owen during the 3 mat event, said: “He fought well in each round and displayed strong techniques and equally strong hold downs. It was a great day’s work and i cannot fault Owen’s performance.”
