HARLOW MP Robert Halfon has paid tribute to Theresa May on the day she announced she was standing down as leader of the Conservative party.
There were emotional scenes as Mrs May made the announcement outside 10 Downing Street on Friday morning.
Mr Halfon said: “Mrs May should be proud of her legacy. She did cut the cost of living her millions of people, she put money in to the NHS and raised the minimum wage.
“I will be backing Sajid Javid. We need a leader who is going to unify the country and I believe Sajid Javid can do that.
“I have known him for many years and his journey to become an MP will inspire many people. He embodies the ladder of the opportunity, of aspiration and merit.”
YH will catch up with Mr Halfon when he returns to the constituency.
33/1 nothing like an outside punt eh Bob, still im sure you will cuddle up to whoever gets the poisoned chalice.
does it matter ? what can they do? whatever happens the HOC will veto any plan to exit the EU.,I really dont see how changing the leader makes any differance.A general election would be an answer but how to we know we will get a government with any majority?basically the system doesnt want to us leave the EU,ironic really, we have conservatives labour liberal greens and change uk wanting to keep things the same.
Brilliant! Brexit means Brexit, 68.1% of the Constituency votes Leave. And Robert backs a Remainer! How clueless can you get?
