BAILIFFS have seized ownership of a Harlow Town Centre shop at the centre of proposed legal action over failure to deliver goods.

Last month, YH reported that a number of Harlow residents had not received goods paid for out of Domestic Home Appliances, East Gate in the town centre.

Our photographs (taken on Sunday) show that the landlords had re-entered the property, changed the locks and barred the owners of Domestic Home Appliances from entering the premises.

YH has spoken to Harlow MP Robert Halfon and he has asked any constituent affected by this situation to contact the via his website.

Our original story is below.

A NUMBER of Harlow residents are set to take legal action against a domestic appliance shop in Harlow.

The shop at the centre of their allegations is Domestic Home Appliances, East Gate in the town centre.

On Saturday, YH interviewed local resident, TJ Tyrie, who told us that he bought an appliance for £500.00 but has yet, despite months of trying, received the goods he paid for.

Mr Tyrie has become so frustrated that he has spent the last few Saturdays standing outside the (closed) shop.

Whilst he has been there, he told us that he has been approached by over 20 individuals who told him that they had received the same treatment.

Yh has also been contacted by two other people who also allege that they have yet to receive goods they paid for.

Ms Barbara Lowe told us that she is still waiting for goods that she paid for as well as stressing that she has reported the owners to Trading Standards.

Stephen Black also contacted YH and informed us that he has not received the dishwasher he paid £150.00 for.

A number of the complainers refers to dealing with a man called George Litras.

A check of companies house refers to Domestic Homes Appliances (Hatfield) Ltd based in Harlow.

A director of the above company is identified as George Litras, of 36 Town Centre, Hatfield.

The shop in Harlow now appears to be closed.

We have rung their number (01279-897189) in man attempt to get their side of the story but the number is no longer in service.

YH will be passing on the information to Harlow MP Robert Halfon.
