Man in hospital after being found “disorientated” in grounds of Harlow primary school

A MAN has been taken to hospital after being found “in a distressed condition” in the grounds of a Harlow primary school.
Parents arriving to pick up their children became aware of a man “in an agitated state” in the grounds of Cooks Spinney Primary Academy on Wednesday afternoon.
Staff were alerted and ushered the man from the school grounds.
YH understands that the school then contacted the police as staff followed the man as he made his way from the school to The Stow shopping precinct.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a disturbance at Cooks Spinney Primary Academy, Harlow, at 3.15pm on 3 July.
“It was reported that staff from the school had escorted a man from the premises.
“Officers attended the area and located the man and immediately became concerned for his welfare.
“He has since been taken to hospital.
“At this time, we do not believe any criminal offences have been committed.”
Essex Police later added” “The man received the head wound following an epileptic fit which resulted in him becoming disorientated. Police advise that here is no need for us to be concerned at all and no need for us to take any further action.
