HISTORY was made in Harlow today (Monday) as the Sir Frederick Gibberd College opened its doors for the first time.
The school, part of the BMAT group, will be based in new classrooms in the grounds of Burnt Mill Academy until 2021, when it will then move into its new grounds on the site of the old Passmores site on Tendring Road.
The 124 trailblazing students looked so smart as they arrived and filed into the assembly hall to hear a wonderful passionate speech from headteacher, Dee Conlon.
We spoke to two of the students, Javin and Hollie, who told us about how they were settling in, on a significant first day.
We also spoke to Mrs Conlon on the fulfilment of a four year dream.
We have now started a Sir Frederick Gibberd College channel. All the stories leading up to this day, can be found there.
