Willow Beauty pub licence review to be held in secret

A REVIEW into the licence of the Willow Beauty public house is set to be held today (Thursday January 2nd).
However, Harlow Council has decided to hold the hearing in private at their civic offices in the Water Gardens.
This means neither press or public can attend the meeting.
The agenda states: “The Chair will move that the following item be taken in private session on the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.
The application comes after the police executed a warrant at the Hodings Road pub on Monday December 2nd.
Their post on Facebook read: “Yesterday, CPT executed a warrant at The Willow pub Harlow in relation to drugs supply in the local area. We are working with partner agencies in relation to this”.
YH understands that police investigations that are still ongoing, may be discussed at meeting.
The full application can be read here.
YH had contacted Greene King for a statement but they did not reply.
