THIS year, The Harvey Centre is celebrating Chinese New Year with a traditional Chinese lion dance. In association with The Real China Restaurant, the dance will be performed throughout the centre on Sunday 26th January 2020 from 1pm and will last around 40 minutes.
The lion dance is a traditional Chinese dance performed on Chinese New Year for good luck, as it is believed the lion is a fortunate animal. Performed in a lion costume, accompanied by the music of beating drums, clashing cymbals, and resounding gongs, the lion dance will imitate a lion’s feline movements.
The Real China is a widely acclaimed Chinese buffet restaurant chain offering authentic Chinese food, real Chinese cuisine aesthetics and their amiable customer service in the heart of Harlow.
With the all you can eat buffet starting at just £10.50 per head and takeaway boxes for £5.50, The Real China is the go-to place for a hearty Chinese meal in Harlow.
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “We are thrilled to celebrate the Chinese New Year with this incredible, vibrant dance. It’s sure to create quite a spectacle in the centre so it’s one event, not to be missed.”
