Meet for Knits and Natters at The Harvey Centre

THE Harvey Centre, Harlow is inviting avid knitters, looking to put their needles to good use, or anyone fancying getting their fingers busy learning a new skill for a good cause, to join them for a knit and natter at their free weekly coffee morning.

Starting on Thursday 6th February, 10am – 2pm, the centre’s coffee club will take on a new twist as they join forces to knit winter woollies for the homeless as all items created will be donated to LandAid.

The Harvey Centre’s coffee club takes place every Thursday on the First Floor, near the Centre Management Suite and offers the perfect opportunity for anyone, particularly those experiencing social isolation, to come down and enjoy free refreshments in the company of others.

LandAid is a charity working in partnership with remarkable businesses and individuals from across the property industry to end youth homelessness.

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “Our ‘Knits and Natters’ event is a fantastic initiative that is designed to encourage cross-generational socialisation, as well as answering several pertinent cultural issues with regards to social isolation, skills development and, of course, homelessness. We hope it will be a rewarding experience for all who participate.”
