Portfolio holder for bins faces more questions over refuse workers claims of workplace bullying

THE Harlow councillor in charge of bins faced more questions about the bullying allegations made by refuse workers in relation to staff at Veoila, the company contracted to collect residents’ waste.

Deputy leader of Harlow Conservatives, cllr Joel Charles asked the portfolio holder for the environment, cllr Danny Purton a number of questions.

Councillor Purton confirmed to cllr Charles that the first time he ever heard of any workplace bullying. He replied “Friday January 17th, 2020”.

He went on to say: “Once we did know, which was Friday 17th January, we had met the union….’
