HARLOW MP Robert Halfon has responded to news of a lockdown throughout the country.

YH spoke to the MP just after the prime minister, Boris Johnson had delivered the speech to the nation.

We asked Mr Halfon to sum up what this means to the people of Harlow and the Villages.

    Latest gov advice doesn’t clarify much. List of closed businesses doesn’t include electricians, plumber, builders etc who are carrying on going from house to house because there is no provision for them to get paid other than apply for Income Support and wait 5 weeks before they get anything. They were some of the people on the crowded Tube on Monday. You’d laugh if it wasn’t so serious.
